    Marketing Mojo ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data and proprietary content. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, and handled when you install, access, or use the SlideFinder Google Workspace Add-on (the "Add-on" or "Service").

    1. Core Principle: Zero External Data Storage

    SlideFinder is architected with a strict privacy-first, client-side execution model:

    • No External Servers: SlideFinder does not transfer, collect, store, or transmit your presentations, slide contents, speaker notes, directory paths, or search queries to any Marketing Mojo servers or third-party storage infrastructure.
    • In-Tenant Execution: All script operations execute entirely within your authenticated Google Workspace runtime environment via Google Apps Script.
    • User-Owned Storage: All search indices, text snippets, metadata, and timestamps created by the Add-on are stored exclusively in a private Google Sheet (.slidefinder_index_data) created inside your personal Google Drive account. You retain total ownership and control over this file.

    2. Information Accessed and Processed

    SlideFinder accesses and processes only the data strictly necessary to deliver its core search and indexing functionality:

    A. Presentation Data and Metadata

    • Content: Text runs, shape text, table values, and speaker notes within Google Slides files located in your selected Google Drive folders.
    • Metadata: File names, presentation IDs, slide object IDs, last updated timestamps, and folder hierarchy structures.
    • Thumbnails: Temporary, authorized image URLs generated on demand via the Google Slides API to display slide previews in the Add-on sidebar.

    B. User Identity and Communication

    • Email Address: Accessed via Session.getActiveUser().getEmail() or Session.getEffectiveUser().getEmail() solely to address background indexing completion notices to your authenticated inbox.
    • Notification Content: Automated emails detailing the number of indexed slides dispatched directly through your own Google account via GmailApp.

    C. Data We Never Collect

    • We do not collect credit card information, passwords, Google account credentials, or browsing history outside of the Add-on interface.
    • We do not track user behavior across external websites or services.
    • We do not log, review, or inspect your presentation contents or search keywords.

    3. How Information Is Used

    SlideFinder uses the accessed data exclusively for the following specific purposes:

    1. Building and Updating Your Search Index: Parsing text from slides and speaker notes into your private .slidefinder_index_data spreadsheet so you can perform fast keyword lookups.
    2. Executing Sidebar Searches: Querying your .slidefinder_index_data spreadsheet against user-entered keywords and optional date ranges.
    3. Displaying Slide Thumbnails: Requesting authorized preview URLs for matching slide object IDs via Google's API to display visual results in your Google Drive sidebar.
    4. Sending Sync Completion Alerts: Notifying you via your own Gmail outbox when recursive background indexing jobs finish.

    4. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use Disclosure)

    SlideFinder’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:

    • Limited Use: SlideFinder only accesses Google Workspace data (Drive, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail) to provide user-facing features that are prominent in the Add-on's interface.
    • No Advertising or Monetization: We do not use, transfer, or disclose Google user data for serving advertisements, personalized marketing, retargeting, or interest-based profiling.
    • No Human Access: No human at Marketing Mojo has access to your presentations, slide text, search queries, or index data.
    • No AI Model Training: We do not use Google user data to train, fine-tune, or develop artificial intelligence, machine learning, or generalized language models.

    5. Google OAuth Permissions & Scopes Explained

    When you install or authorize SlideFinder, Google prompts you to grant specific OAuth scopes. Each scope is tied to a specific functional necessity:

    6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

    Because all processing occurs within your Google Workspace account and no data is transmitted to external servers, Marketing Mojo does not sell, rent, trade, share, or disclose your personal data or presentation content to any third parties, advertisers, data brokers, or external partners under any circumstances.

    We will only disclose information if compelled to do so by a valid legal subpoena, court order, or applicable law, and only to the extent required by such process (noting that we do not possess or host your presentation contents on our infrastructure).

    7. Data Retention and Deletion

      • Retention Period: Because your search index resides entirely within your Google account in .slidefinder_index_data, your data is retained only as long as you maintain that file. Marketing Mojo maintains zero copies of your data.
      • Deleting Your Data: You can permanently delete all indexed data at any time by locating .slidefinder_index_data in your Google Drive and deleting it (moving it to trash and emptying trash).
      • Revoking Access: You can revoke SlideFinder's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account Permissions Page
    and clicking Remove Access on SlideFinder.

    8. Data Security

    SlideFinder inherits the security infrastructure of Google Cloud and Google Workspace:

    • All API communications occur over encrypted TLS/HTTPS channels using standard Google OAuth 2.0 authorization tokens.
    • Search indexes and credentials never leave Google’s secure data centers.
    • Your files and index spreadsheets are subject to your organization's Google Workspace security, sharing policies, and access controls.

    9. Children's Privacy

    SlideFinder does not knowingly collect, process, or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can assist with necessary revocations.

    10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

    Marketing Mojo reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect updates to the Add-on or changes in applicable legal or platform requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document indicates the latest revision. Continued use of SlideFinder after modifications are posted constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy.
